We Just Won Silver at the 40th Annual Telly Awards!
Mental Health Matters - Larimer County Video Campaign Receives National Recognition
I’m incredibly proud and humbled to announce that Arcadian Pictures, in collaboration with Bloomstruck, was awarded a “Silver Winner” at the 40th Annual Telly Awards, based out of New York City, for our video series aimed at raising awareness surrounding mental health. This prestigious honor is something all of Larimer County should be proud of- because it was our county’s story that so many of helped to tell. Passing the initiative on the ballot was reward enough for our efforts, but this award provides added value and confidence to our mission, and it’s encouraging to know that people are hearing the message we sent- and that we sent it well.
Below you can find a little bit more about the project and watch the video series that won us our first Telly. For a copy of the official Press Release, please click here.
Mental Health Matters - Larimer County
The Mental Health Matters campaign is something that I am truly proud of. It started with a pressing need in Larimer County for mental health services and ended with public funding for a mental health facility that will service the entire county.
These are the three primary videos we created to help spread awareness about mental health issues in Larimer County, so that we could come together to vote on the ballot issue that would make our county a better place to live in. The challenge was that the ballot issue was presented two years prior and it failed- primarily because of a disorganized effort and an uneducated public. So our mission was to find a way to cross political boundaries and unite the people of Larimer County by fighting for a solution to an issue that affects us all- the state of our mental health.
I'm so happy to share that in Nov of 2018, the ballot issue passed in Larimer County, and our filmmaking efforts (which had a social media reach of well over 50,000 views) proved to make a difference this time around. We are all very proud of the results and hopeful that Larimer County soon sees the results of its initiative toward making the region a better place to live.
This could not have been accomplished without the outstanding efforts and opportunities provided by Natalie Diekmann (Bloomstruck LLC), Gil Barela, and their team of selfless, community-minded volunteers and contributors.
